Over the past 25 years, the world has changed faster and with more complexity than ever before. The most significant driving force is the advent of the Internet and the rapid advancement of technology as part of the digital age. Such a radical global transformation has demanded people to learn new theories and knowledge that simply did not exist two decades ago, new skills that are of more prominence in our daily lives, and new technological competencies that will enable further advancement. Educational technology is a broad term which encompasses domains like learning technologies (MOOCs, Mobile Learning, open content), visualization (3D printing/rapid prototyping, visual data analysis), internet and social media technologies (identity, IoT, real-time translation), digital strategies (BYOD, flipped classrooms, makerspaces) and consumer technologies (tablets, wearables, telepresence/holographic rendering).

Join us to discuss the critical issues, like:

  • Which technologies will be important in the next 2-3 years and after 2020?
  • How can we ensure technology can support the underlying curriculum?
  • How will the role of the educational institution change as a result of these new technologies?
  • Can technology help close the emerging skills and jobs gap?
